Review is a loaded term at an architecture school— especially when coupled with the word final. A final review is the culmination of long hours of work. The product is evaluated; and afterwards is rolled up,
put away, and, for the most part, forgotten. In the next semester, we can expect to repeat the process. Such is life for students at the KSA.
One:Twelve offers us an alternative to that model. Each semester we labor to produce an issue. But once it’s printed and on the shelf, we don’t forget about it and start the next one from scratch. Like it or not, we are burdened with a legacy: readers, contributors, editors. We are working from a foundation and we must address expectations. Things carry over.
